I am a ballet teacher. After teaching for 27 years I still look forward to walking into every class. No studio is too large or too small. Whether it's one student or 100 students I still look forward to walking into that class to make a difference.
Before beginning my teaching career I performed with San Francisco Ballet, Washington Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet and many others. I began my training in Hollywood, California with former members of Ballet Russe and Royal Ballet, and continued in New York City at the School of American Ballet with Stanley Williams.
Every dance student who stands in front of me is important. I want to build self esteem and confidence in every student.
I have numerous students who have moved on to become professional dancers. In fact I am currently teaching for several former students with successful studios.
I try to blend ballet training into the other forms of dance that they are learning, be it lyrical, jazz, tap or hip-hop.
I have trained extensively in all schools of ballet: Russian, Royal Ballet, Checcetti, and Balanchine, and I always adapt and adjust to the students who are standing in front of me to give them what they need.
My goal is not only to offer your students the best ballet training but to build your dance program and your business.
No studio will ever lose financially by having me teach.
Before becoming an independent ballet instructor, I owned and managed studios in Philadelphia, PA and Falston, Maryland. Prior to opening my own studios I taught at the college level:
I started and directed the Mt. Vernon Ballet Company of Baltimore, which toured Maryland for 10 years, presenting over 30 performances a year.
